The best 75-inch TV in Canada is the Sony BRAVIA 5 ($2,798). It has a Mini LED backlight, Sony's XR processor, Google TV and four HDMI inputs. Amazon.ca sells it. For the best value, the TCL QM64L costs $1,398. It has a 144 Hz Mini LED screen.
Prices run from $898 to $3,998. A 75-inch set is big: these weigh 29.5 to 45 kg. If that is too much screen, see the 65-inch TVs. Built-in speakers are thin at this size, so most buyers add a soundbar.

We read up to 100 recent verified reviews for each set. The list covers four brands: Sony, TCL, Hisense and Samsung. Two sets, the Hisense U78N and the Sony BRAVIA 9, are sold only by third-party sellers, and we say so in each review. We set aside 9 other 75-inch models.

Only 1 is for the 75-inch. One buyer found Sony support unhelpful.

How Big Is 75 Inches, Really?
A 75-inch TV is about 166 cm wide. Most people sit 2.5 to 3.5 metres from it. It suits a living room about 3.5 m across or more. Measure your wall or cabinet first. Then check that the TV can get through your doorways and up your stairs.
These sets are heavy. The Samsung U8000H is the lightest at 29.5 kg. The Samsung M70H and M80H weigh 29.9 kg. The Sony BRAVIA 3 II is 31.2 kg, and the TCL QM64L is 33.6 kg. The Hisense U78N is 40.5 kg, and the Sony BRAVIA 9 is 45 kg. Plan on two people to lift and mount any of them.
If 75 inches is more than you need, the 65-inch TVs start at $769.99. For a family room, the 55-inch picks cost less.
Why the Backlight Matters More on a Big Screen
At 75 inches, a basic panel is harder to light evenly. A plain LED set with edge lights shows grey blacks and uneven patches in a dark room. A Mini LED set uses many small lights in dimming zones for better contrast and brightness. QLED adds a quantum-dot layer for colour.
Look at the listing for brightness and dimming zones, not just the words Mini LED. Only the Hisense U78N lists its figures: up to 512 zones and 1,500 nits. The Sony and TCL listings do not itemise peak brightness.
Here is how the price tiers work out.
Under $1,000. The Samsung U8000H ($898) is a plain LED. The M70H ($998) is Mini LED, but limited to 60 Hz. Both suit streaming and cable. They do not suit gaming or fast sports.
$1,400 to $1,500. This is the sweet spot. The TCL QM64L ($1,398) adds 144 Hz and four HDMI inputs, about $400 more than the M70H. The Sony BRAVIA 3 II ($1,498) trades the Mini LED backlight for four HDMI 2.1 inputs, Dolby Vision and a strong owner record. If you game, look for variable refresh rate. HDMI.org says it reduces or removes lag, judder and frame tearing.
$2,800 and up. The Sony BRAVIA 5 gives you Sony picture processing and Google TV. The BRAVIA 9 costs $1,200 more for a brighter panel, but see the seller note below.
Check the Seller, the Reviews and the Delivery
Two sets are third-party only. The Hisense U78N and the Sony BRAVIA 9 have no Amazon.ca offer. They are sold by GTA Electronics Store and Stephensons Electronics. That may mean open-box stock or no Canadian warranty help. Check the seller name and return terms before you buy.
Reviews are pooled across sizes. Amazon shares reviews across every size in a series. So a high score may not describe the 75-inch. The BRAVIA 3 II has 19 reviews from Canada, but only 1 is for the 75-inch. The Samsung QN70H has 5, and none are for the 75-inch. We list the count for each set.
Delivery damage. Buyers of the Samsung U8000H and M70H, and of TCL sets, report cracked or damaged screens, mostly on smaller sizes. A large TV is more likely to be damaged in transit than to fail in use. Inspect the screen before the driver leaves. Keep the packaging until you are sure.
Warranty. Every listing shows a one-year manufacturer warranty. Buyers of the Hisense U78N report poor support, and some Samsung buyers had return trouble.
How We Research & Rank
| Criterion | Weight | Based On |
|---|---|---|
| Picture Quality | 30% | Panel first: QD-OLED and OLED beat bright Mini LED with a branded backlight system, which beats basic LED. At 75 inches, dimming zones matter more. |
| Smart Platform & Connectivity | 20% | Smart OS and ports. Google TV beats Fire TV and Tizen on app support. Four HDMI 2.1 inputs beat three. |
| Value for Money | 15% | What the set offers per dollar at the Amazon.ca price, compared with others in the field. |
| Sound & Build | 10% | Speaker power and sound features, plus weight, stand and mounting. |
| Verified Buyer Experience | 25% | Up to 100 recent reviews from verified buyers in Canada: average stars, share of bad reviews and repeated faults. |
Scores are out of 10. Sets with few reviews from Canada are pulled toward the field average, so a handful of 5-star reviews cannot beat a long record.

The Sony BRAVIA 5 costs $2,798. It has a Mini LED screen, Dolby Vision and Google TV. It has four HDMI inputs. Amazon.ca sells it. Of its 16 reviews from Canada, 75% are good. Only 13% are bad.
The TCL QM64L, at $1,398. It has a Mini LED screen with local dimming. It runs at 144 Hz and has four HDMI inputs. Its 60 verified reviews from Canada are 80% positive. That is the biggest base among the picture-led sets.
For streaming, yes. The Samsung M70H has a Mini LED backlight at $998. But it runs at up to 60 Hz and has three HDMI inputs and Dolby 2.0 audio. For gaming or sport, the TCL QM64L adds 144 Hz for about $400 more.
The Sony BRAVIA 3 II, at $1,498. It lists four HDMI 2.1 inputs with 4K/120, VRR and ALLM. Its 19 reviews from Canada include 16 at 5 stars. Only 1 is for the 75-inch, and the panel is plain LED.
Neither has an Amazon.ca offer. The Hisense U78N is sold by GTA Electronics Store and the Sony BRAVIA 9 by Stephensons Electronics. Third-party stock may be open-box or lack Canadian warranty help. Check the seller and return terms first.
Not always. Amazon pools reviews across every size in a series. For example, only 1 of the BRAVIA 3 II’s 19 reviews from Canada is for the 75-inch. We list the 75-inch count in each review where we found it.
A 75-inch set is about 166 cm wide and suits a living room of 3.5 m across or more. For a smaller room, try the 65-inch TVs. Add a soundbar, because the built-in speakers are thin at this size.
